Translate a Ukrainian video into English subtitles
A Ukrainian video with no English subtitles only reaches people who already speak Ukrainian. This takes the file and returns an English subtitle track timed to the speech.
You get an SRT you can edit, or a copy of the video with the line already burned in.

What happens to your video
- Upload the file or paste a public link. Phone footage (HEVC/MOV) is read as it comes off the phone.
- The audio is transcribed first, with word-level timing, so every cue starts where speech starts.
- Each line is translated on its own. Timecodes are copied through and never rewritten.
- Download the SRT, or a copy of the video with the subtitles burned in at the original resolution.
Notes on the audio
- Ukrainian and Russian share the Cyrillic alphabet but not the vocabulary or the letters і, ї, є. Recognition sometimes outputs Russian.
- Cases are just as free as in Russian, and proper nouns have settled English spellings (Kyiv, not Kiev).
- Transliterated Ukrainian cannot be reused as Russian subtitles; the two files are not interchangeable.

Questions
Does it need subtitles to already exist?
No. It listens to the audio and builds the English lines from scratch, so a Ukrainian video with no captions works the same way.
Will the English lines land in the right place?
Yes. The timing is derived from the Ukrainian audio before any translation happens, so the cues do not shift afterwards.
Can I edit the result?
Yes. The SRT is plain text; open it in any editor and fix names or terms by hand.
