Translate an English video into Spanish subtitles
English content in a Spanish market needs Spanish subtitles, and machine captions from the platform rarely produce them cleanly. This does it from the audio, not from YouTube's caption track.
Translation happens after the timing is fixed, which is why the subtitles stay in sync.

What happens to your video
- Upload the file or paste a public link. Phone footage (HEVC/MOV) is read as it comes off the phone.
- The audio is transcribed first, with word-level timing, so every cue starts where speech starts.
- Each line is translated on its own. Timecodes are copied through and never rewritten.
- Download the SRT, or a copy of the video with the subtitles burned in at the original resolution.
Notes on the audio
- Spanish packs more syllables per second into the same content, so subtitles usually need condensing rather than word-for-word translation.
- Castilian and Latin American usage differ in vocabulary, pronouns and speed. One subtitle track rarely suits both.
- Spanish reads faster than English on screen, so lines can hold more text. Going the other way, English to Spanish, watch that the line does not overflow.

Questions
Will the Spanish lines be too long for the screen?
Lines are kept short, but Spanish usually runs longer than the English source, so a manual pass on line breaks is worth doing. Spanish reads faster than English on screen, so lines can hold more text. Going the other way, English to Spanish, watch that the line does not overflow.
Does it use YouTube's auto-captions?
No. It transcribes the audio itself, so it also works for files with no captions at all.
Can I get both languages?
Yes, bilingual output keeps the English line above the Spanish one.
