Translate a Vietnamese video into Thai subtitles
Vietnamese to Thai is one of the pairs where a dictionary gets you most of the way and then stops. Vietnamese and Thai are both tonal and the word order is close. The practical difficulty is Thai having no spaces, so every line break has to be recalculated.
Translation happens after the timing is fixed, which is why the subtitles stay in sync.

What happens to your video
- Upload the file or paste a public link. Phone footage (HEVC/MOV) is read as it comes off the phone.
- The audio is transcribed first, with word-level timing, so every cue starts where speech starts.
- Each line is translated on its own. Timecodes are copied through and never rewritten.
- Download the SRT, or a copy of the video with the subtitles burned in at the original resolution.
Notes on the audio
- Vietnamese and Thai are both tonal and the word order is close. The practical difficulty is Thai having no spaces, so every line break has to be recalculated.
- Vietnamese has six tones. Drop or shift a tone mark and it is a different word, which is where recognition goes wrong most often.
- With no spaces to break on, Thai subtitles can only be split by meaning, and machine splitting often cuts inside a word.

Questions
Do you translate through English?
The engine works from the Vietnamese audio and produces Thai directly; the English gloss is only for this page.
How accurate is it?
Vietnamese lines hold few characters but the diacritics take width, so the layout looks fuller than the character count suggests. On top of that, review proper nouns by hand before publishing.
Can I keep the Vietnamese line as reference?
Yes, bilingual output keeps both lines in one file.
