Translate a Indonesian video into Chinese subtitles
Indonesian to Chinese is one of the pairs where a dictionary gets you most of the way and then stops. Indonesian passive direkam becomes a 是…拍的 construction in Chinese. Translated literally it reads as 'the video was recorded by'.
Translation happens after the timing is fixed, which is why the subtitles stay in sync.

What happens to your video
- Upload the file or paste a public link. Phone footage (HEVC/MOV) is read as it comes off the phone.
- The audio is transcribed first, with word-level timing, so every cue starts where speech starts.
- Each line is translated on its own. Timecodes are copied through and never rewritten.
- Download the SRT, or a copy of the video with the subtitles burned in at the original resolution.
Notes on the audio
- Indonesian passive direkam becomes a 是…拍的 construction in Chinese. Translated literally it reads as 'the video was recorded by'.
- Affixes (me-, -kan, ke-an) change word class, so one root can produce a dozen related words.
- A Chinese character carries more meaning than an English word, so the same line takes far less room in Chinese than in the English translation. Expect the subtitle to grow by roughly a third when it comes back.

Questions
Do you translate through English?
The engine works from the Indonesian audio and produces Chinese directly; the English gloss is only for this page.
How accurate is it?
Indonesian line width is close to English: around 40 characters reads comfortably. On top of that, review proper nouns by hand before publishing.
Can I keep the Indonesian line as reference?
Yes, bilingual output keeps both lines in one file.
