Turn a video podcast into subtitles in another language

Podcast audio is mostly talking, which is the easy case. The hard part is episode length and guest names, and both are checkable in the SRT afterwards.

The timing comes from the audio, so a line lands where it is actually spoken.

What happens to your video

  1. Upload the file or paste a public link. Phone footage (HEVC/MOV) is read as it comes off the phone.
  2. The audio is transcribed first, with word-level timing, so every cue starts where speech starts.
  3. Each line is translated on its own. Timecodes are copied through and never rewritten.
  4. Download the SRT, or a copy of the video with the subtitles burned in at the original resolution.
