Translate a Dutch video into English subtitles
A Dutch video with no English subtitles only reaches people who already speak Dutch. This takes the file and returns an English subtitle track timed to the speech.
You get an SRT you can edit, or a copy of the video with the line already burned in.

What happens to your video
- Upload the file or paste a public link. Phone footage (HEVC/MOV) is read as it comes off the phone.
- The audio is transcribed first, with word-level timing, so every cue starts where speech starts.
- Each line is translated on its own. Timecodes are copied through and never rewritten.
- Download the SRT, or a copy of the video with the subtitles burned in at the original resolution.
Notes on the audio
- Dutch looks close to German but orders words differently; copying German syntax produces something no Dutch speaker would say.
- Compounds can be built indefinitely and usually have to be broken into phrases for the screen.
- Dutch line width is close to German, and long compounds are the main problem.

Questions
Does it need subtitles to already exist?
No. It listens to the audio and builds the English lines from scratch, so a Dutch video with no captions works the same way.
Will the English lines land in the right place?
Yes. The timing is derived from the Dutch audio before any translation happens, so the cues do not shift afterwards.
Can I edit the result?
Yes. The SRT is plain text; open it in any editor and fix names or terms by hand.
